Might be issues if you wear a Duke shirt around UNC, a Syracuse shirt around Georgetown, or an Ohio State shirt around Michigan (and vice versa).

Nobody cares because law students don't typically root for their law school. If you went to UNC then Duke. YOu'd be a traitor for not wearing UNC shirts.

I go to Ohio State law school, and there are least 15 people here who did their UG at Michigan. I don't think I've ever seen somebody in a Michigan shirt, though. Mostly because that would make walking anywhere around campus pretty damn miserable.

People wear Michigan and USC stuff at NDLS all the time, I don't think anyone gives them shit for it.

The vast majority of Duke prelaws couldn't get into duke. And a sizeable chunk can't even get into UNC.

Almost nobody wears my law school's gear, usually undergrad stuff. Could be because our campus store doesn't really have any decent law clothing, who knows.

I have a bunch of random college sweatshirts that I wear even though I never went to the schools (I bought most of them between undergrad and law school when I didn't think I was going back to school ever). Meh. Most likely no one cares, and if they do, whatever.

The only thing I'd be wary about is major sports rivalries in places where you can get beat down for wearing the opponent's gear.

Of the million concerns about law school, I'm sure this ranks pretty low. But I am genuinely curious if it is ok to wear a shirt saying "I went to X Univ" when you now go to law school at "Y Univ." Do students, faculty, etc. care about this, or is it irrevelant as long as you make good grades? Thanks.

no, it is most certainly not ok. you will be shot on sight if you dare wear any paraphernalia besides that which bears the name or emblem of your law school.

Yeah if I actually went to Yale UG I would hope I was somewhere better, but when some people asked there was some apprehension in their voice. It's just funny to think about.

If it's done as part of a conscious effort to frat, yes.

Undergrad shirts if, and only if, they also include your Greek letters.

It's irrelevant as long as you get good grades, but this is why it's important to have your grades embroidered into your UG shirt.

I don't really give a sh** about undergrad t-shirts, but what you can't do is wear the shirt of the 'better' law school that you didn't get into or that you're gunning to transfer to. I've seen people doing this a surprisingly large amount.
