I'm pretty sure the Emmanuel outlines include practice questions and answers. Whether they'd be at all relevant to the exams your profs give, I can't say. (At least everyone you're being graded against is in the same boat!)

TLS wrote:So, I lucked out and appear to be going to a school where almost no professors put out model exam answer information. I've checked a few times and the library aid told me there are literally 3 professors that ever put exams on file (none of mine). I tried to use model answers from other schools that were posted online, but I honestly didn't find many of them helpful. I've also read Getting to Maybe which was alright, but I'd benefit from something more bullet point form/condensed.

I know there are threads with stickied supplements, but I'm looking for supplements that specifically provide model answers and model answer structure more importantly. Obviously, I'll have to tailor the supplement's advice for each class, but I'm looking for something that gives me information on the form beyond IRAC and something I can just see where we're looking at multi-issue spotter exams.

Thanks!
Take with a friend/some friends and then trade answers to compare.

Go to your prof's office hours with an answer you've written. His/her evaluation of your answer should help you get a sense of how to write it.

Also, ask pointed questions in office hours about format and where you should be spending your time. They might not bite, but you'd be surprised at how often they do.

Edit: misread prompt.

I know someone that writes specific model answers for students that are in situations where professors do not post model exam responses. The answers are set out in a clear IRAC structure. PM me for his information.

What subject? There's a thread somewhere up here with a link to a couple of school's where they have a ton of exams for various courses with model answers by the professors. I found them helpful for some courses where the content is kind of universal to law schools and professors (Torts, Con, Crim, thankfully they were also my first classes) when trying to figure out what a good answer should even begin to look like. I'll try to find it for you and update you with the link, because it was really shit to have no exams or answers to look at from any of my professors. I know the feeling.

Edit: Ah, glossed over that sentence where you said other schools weren't helpful. Sorry mate, can't help you there. Had the same problem as you, eventually just settled for using a bunch of other schools exams and figured one of them had to have prepared me for exams lol. Won't bother looking for that link unless you'd like me to anymore. Good luck though. I'm following this thread closely as I've got a similar situation this semester and may not be as lucky finding exams from other schools.

TLS wrote:Thanks for the replies everyone. I should have been more clear in that not only are there not model answers on file, there are not exams on file. I think at least two professors will be throwing us a few questions before the exam from past exams, but that may or may not include model answers. Pretty frustrating.

Eh, looks like I'll have to check out the emmanuel supplements and run answers by my professors for feedback during office hours. Should have figured that out sooner last semester. Thanks again everyone.

I had a new professor this year and he didnt have any past exams. I tried doing exams for other classes, but it was completely unhelpful. Just be happy that no one else has exams either ;)
