I feel you man. This is when a school's grading policy can really give you the shaft. Makes you feel as if a professor isn't even reading your exam.dingbat wrote:A, B, C+

Ah man. Well, hopefully the good ones can outshine the not-so-good one.. or they at least give you an opportunity to explain.dingbat wrote:they wanted grades firstgaud wrote:Worst they can say is no. Have you interviewed with them?

What section still doesn't have any grades? Figured they'd all have at least one by now.UVAIce wrote:Monday bro, Monday.Tom Joad wrote:polkij333 wrote:thelawyler wrote:Dont have a single grade yet. Pretty annoying.

Since most have grades back, can people contribute to the correlation between typing speed and grades debate?

I typed really fast, and I got really good grades. If you are just as good at analysis as me, and know the rules just as well as me, but I type twice as fast - how can you possibly compete in applying law to fact? (Unless, of course, I just run out of stuff to type.)Blessedassurance wrote:Since most have grades back, can people contribute to the correlation between typing speed and grades debate?

A prof once blogged about the statistical analysis and found that abnormally short exams (like bottom 10% shortest?) got disproportionately poor grades, but that there was no positive correlation between long exams and grade.Randomnumbers wrote:I typed really fast, and I got really good grades. Apparently many people ramble. Obviously you'd rather type quickly than slowly, but it's very much over-hyped on TLS.

Pretty much every four hour model I've read was between 5500 and 6500 words, which I can generally hit with my 65 wpm, so I tend to agree.thesealocust wrote:A prof once blogged about the statistical analysis and found that abnormally short exams (like bottom 10% shortest?) got disproportionately poor grades, but that there was no positive correlation between long exams and grade.Randomnumbers wrote:I typed really fast, and I got really good grades. this is bad news. all i know how to do is ramble. i normally speak about what i ate for breakfast, and the knicks and eventually some law comes in. i'm hoping the professors don't actually read them, which seems probable.

I saw multiple model answers for my classes at around 1800-2200 words.JamMasterJ wrote:Pretty much every four hour model I've read was between 5500 and 6500 words, which I can generally hit with my 65 wpm, so I tend to agree.thesealocust wrote:A prof once blogged about the statistical analysis and found that abnormally short exams (like bottom 10% shortest?) got disproportionately poor grades, but that there was no positive correlation between long exams and grade.Randomnumbers wrote:I typed really fast, and I got really good grades. It's all about what the individual professor wants. Some of mine wanted word vomit, but some wanted a streamlined and cogent analysis.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
