ExamSoft/SoftTest: Words/Characters per page?

My professor mentioned exam answers that are six pages long (for a one hour hypo) generally tend to cover more issues than other exams and, therefore, score better. I know typing really fast and writing six pages doesn't guarantee a good grade, but I am curious:

How many words/characters are there per one SoftTest page?

I assume it is close to a Word document, but then again it might be quite different. I want to find out so during my exam practice I can see how close I am to writing six pages per hour in SoftTest. I can't find a way to print from SoftTest, otherwise this would be easy to figure out. (I am quite sure it is prohibited during practice, and obviously during the real exam).

Does this really matter? In the past, my Exam Soft did not keep a page count but kept a word count. There should be a dummy exam you can run.

It doesn't matter. Just start typing and keep going until time runs out.
