You've had three professors this semester for Con?

Our prof already had to cancel two classes and sent in a substitute for a third. Seriously, a substitute teacher. In law school.

Then today just before class we found out our class would be merged with another Professor's, so we've got a 200 person class with a new professor for half of us. All for just $54,000 per year.

 That is crazy! I can't imagine a 200 person doctrinal class. Thank god for Chemerinsky!

So, what time-wasting, productivity-sapping vices are people giving up for Lent?

ON the brightside, he doesnt do the hisTTTorical approach, but does it topic by topic.

I still have no idea how this is going to turn out though. Can I just get a P/CR and not worry about it?

On the bright side, our new prof seems really focused and cool and so even with double the number of students, we'll have a "better" exam and get our grades back sooner than with our old prof.

Also more students means more As and A-s available. Always a good thing (even if w/ %s, it doesn't matter).

Yeah, that's true. I like him so far, even if today's lecture was deathly boring.

ETA: lol at the student senate resolution.

I didn't realize I was in the same section with you all. I agree that our new prof seems better, and to me it does make way more sense to organize the class by doctrine.

However, I do hope we have two separate curves. Although I doubt it's much of a disadvantage, we did miss 3 weeks of his classes and have to play catch up on those readings. And I sure as hell didn't learn much with our old professor.

IMO, not really. I mean, there might be minor conflicts, but in general the methods can be used in harmony. GTM gets more into analysis, while LEEWS is about structure. I have OLs of both, if anyone wants.

I'm kinda embarrassed to be asking since all I seem to do from this thread is take, but I need all the help I can get: I want. Please?

I glanced at GTM (read little pieces of it, basically just test strategy). Never did LEEWS. I did well first semester (top 15%). Does anyone think that doing LEEWS would help me ramp it up? I just dont know if you basically know how to take an exam, if its worth it. Advice?

I read GTM, never did LEEWS. I am not sure if I actually gained much from GTM. The policy section, "Czar of the Universe," is pretty good because that shit is just weird to a 0L.

Did GTM over the summer. Forgot everything about it, aside from "argue both sides". Never did LEEWs. Did well 1st semester.

This is kind of all I took from it. I guess I was hoping there would be something more to it than just the "forks" because even our professors really emphasized this in a couple classes. I guess there is no prep that can actually teach how to get an A... I guess I am just nervous because Con Law is going to kill me this semester... seriously so lost in that class. Need to start reading Chemerinsky
