Definitely haven't been spending (well, wasting is probably a better word) as much time with the reading this semester. Gonna start outlining earlier in the semester though.

Looking back, i think that's been the key: Outlining early rather than briefing and pouring over the reading. Learning the material isn't the problem. It's practice tests and finishing outlines earlySportsFan wrote:Definitely haven't been spending (well, wasting is probably a better word) as much time with the reading this semester. So credited. I've been skimming the readings but plan on outlining after we get done the first unit.mr.hands wrote:Looking back, i think that's been the key: Outlining early rather than briefing and pouring over the reading. Re: OFFICIAL 1L Exam Prep & Motivation Thread (CSWS)
Yeah. I made new outlines for all 3 of my classes last semester. Not sure if I'm even going to do that, or if I'll just find some old ones (apparently there are a lot of good ones for my classes) and make my own attack outlines. Hm...mr.hands wrote:Looking back, i think that's been the key: Outlining early rather than briefing and pouring over the reading. Learning the material isn't the problem. I'm a fan of outlining sporadically throughout the semester (updating it every 2 or 3 weeks) along with taking notes on an old outline from that class. Then combining them at the end of the semester into one big outline and an attack outline. Plan on doing it again with a few little changes based on knowing more this semester about how I learn material.SportsFan wrote:Yeah. I made new outlines for all 3 of my classes last semester. My torts professor hasn't taught this class in 2 years so I'm probably not going to be able to find outlines for it. Boo.

I wouldn't worry about it. Mine hadn't taught in three years so the only outlines available were from 4L dual degree students. Even then we were able to get one or two.Pleasye wrote:My torts professor hasn't taught this class in 2 years so I'm probably not going to be able to find outlines for it. Boo.

I hope so! I just got spoiled. Last semester I knew someone who had had every single one of my professors. Getting outlines was so easy.UnamSanctam wrote: I wouldn't worry about it. LOL readings. Two weeks and I haven't done any work. I keep trying to read one, just one case and I can't, my classes are that boring.

Daily reminder that I hate all of you who are just starting while I'm about to go into my 3rd week (still without grades).

I'm right here with ya...this is getting ridiculous, considering he 2Ls and 3Ls at my school (including those in electives with 80+ students) already have their grades back.
