My Con Law prof loves to cold call, but he only gets to about 3 or 4 a class. You can prepare, read canned briefs, pull up WestLaw, but either way, unless you were a history major you are going to look like a fool.
He loves to ask random historical facts that have little, if anything, to do with the BLL set forth by the cases. It is a self-indulging moment for him and the rest of us end up as little pawns in the game.

Man, I feel totally different from you all. I actually really enjoy my classes (especially since we changed conlaw sections) and my reading. It might be because I don't use a computer in class and am thus forced to pay attention and take pages of notes beforehand but I really like the conversations and material.

It seems like con law just attracts profs who really wish that they were teaching undergrad polisci classes.JG7773 wrote:My Con Law prof loves to cold call, but he only gets to about 3 or 4 a class. Well Honey bunches of oats, I need to get on this thread. I totally have not been grinding this semester, time to grab that backboard and grind the skateboard.
Are you all paying less attention to reading this semester? I so feel like I should be doing hypos or something, even though I haven't gotten myself to really do them.

Re: OFFICIAL 1L Exam Prep & Motivation Thread (CSWS)
I just read casebriefs. After one semester I think I've got a better understanding of what the tests will be like and how much time I wasted last semester by actually reading.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
