Understanding Contracts is very good. Your library probably has it. Whenever I read through it always talks about the policy here and there for various doctrines.

What do you mean by policy supplement?

I loved Chirlestein's book. Not too long and explains everything really well.

Don't use the Christensen one. At least that is my experience. But then again I had a brilliant Ks lecturer who I think was high on coke AND drunk.

Just going onto westlaw and reading the official comments and illustrations in the restatements and UCC has been the best way to learn policy for me so far.
