Lower T14

So let's say not YSHCCN

And I think my best grades were B pluses

So did you 'do it for the money' as they say?

Going to law school? Yes

Dropping out of law school? Also yes

I honestly think that's the motivation for the vast majority of LS students - the allure of those six figure jobs. Never mind that it's basically a coin flip at T14 schools, and a lottery ticket at other schools.

I didn't tell anyone. They can figure it out on their own. I feel like the friends you make in LS are more out of convenience rather than anything else. I met some cool people, but no one I would consider a life-long/close friend

Did you: (a) want to be a lawyer when you went to law school; or (b) not know what you wanted to do and use law school to bide time?

In reference to your 25% GPA from UG, what was your major, and what kind of effort did you put into it?

Also, what kind of effort did you put into your grades during 1L?

Why didn't you wait until after OCI to drop out?

If you're bottom 10%, outside Y/S the odds are against you, and outside YSHC, it'll take a miracle.

do you need to memorize many things(details) to prepare for the cold call or exams? do you think other students enjoy the studying (or law)?

1) Not UVA
2) I have a plan, just don't want to detail it on TLS
3) I'm not saying anyone should listen to me, it was an AMA.

The douchiness of LS students is reaffirmed yet again.

I thought I wanted to be a lawyer (for the money ofc). But in retrospect, kind of a dumb decision. I just went because I killed my LSAT and got into a T14 school with a sizable scholarship. And wanted to make money.

You probably need to brief for classes in which there are cold calls. But general TLS wisdom says that briefing cases is pointless for anything other than cold calls.

No idea about other students. Maybe some people are masochists, but I feel like people just want to get LS over with and go onto practicing. And since I didn't make it that far, I can't speak to whether the practice of law sucks as much as LS did for me

Um, don't want to get too into detail with my major. Let's just say it wasn't a fluff major. Didn't put a lot of effort into UG, hence the 25th percentile GPA

I probably put in mediocre effort first semester, but went balls out second semester. Started my outlines on day one of class and updated them after basically every class. Still managed to bomb my exams though haha

Because that would involve me wanting to practice law + potentially pay another semester's worth of tuition.

And I was going to strike out at OCI with my grades, so it was kind of pointless anyways

Forgot to answer this one.

I'm bored and figured I would do this for fun. Against my publicist's wishes obviously.
