Comma before "Ltd?" (Bluebook)

Postby lawman2010 » Fri May 18, 2012 7:09 pm

Hello all,

Editing something right now and need to know: per The Bluebook, do we put a comma before the "Ltd" in, for example, A v. B, Ltd., ...

or is it A v. B Ltd., ...

If you could also give me the Bluebook rule for this (if there is one) I would really really appreciate it.

Thanks very much!!!

Is it not an honor code violation to get outside help on the writing comp?

ha! I didn't even think about the fact that ppl are doing write-on right now. As you can see from my profile, I'm not a 1L. I'm helping my prof with something (I'm a research assistant). I emailed ppl at The Bluebook but no response. They prob thought it was for a writing comp as well...

I don't remember if it's in the bluebook, but I've always seen/used the comma there.
