I could easily BS this write on essay if it werent for the requirement that I cite every other line. One week to go and now it feels like this isn't going to get finished in time.

Makes me think I should just use every third line from every source and I'll make it to the requisite pages.

I just trashed Congress in my essay, and was like wait, I need to find a citation for this from whatever sources given. Luckily for me, I found it. 8)

I remember on my brief I wrote up a bunch of fake citations since according to our TA, we were just rewording-plagerizing different sources that the professor wasn't going to bother checking anyway. Guess thats why I didn't win best brief.

I'm still working as well. The writing portion is due on Monday at 5. We got our packets on Friday and I have not finished reading the 32 cases yet. I'm about 15 in and the goal is to have all of the reading finished by Wednesday at 12. My essay doesn't have to be great, but it has to atleast look like I put the effort in. While, this "problem" is a good thing to have, it is a killer for my motivation. Oh well. Good luck to all who are still working on this business.

Due Friday. Told myself I'd be done before my job begins tomorrow. Surprise: I'm not. Still have a lot of revising/reviewing to do it. Harumph.

I hope people aren't really editing their submissions... Mine is complete crap and I doubt I'll have time to do any meaningful edits. Fuck this shit. At least it will all be over after tomorrow for me...

Four hours. I still haven't started the citation exercise. Have not begun citing my memo. Why am I on TLS?

50% weight to GPA is the only light I see at the end of this tunnel. Spring grades are my only hope.

Am I the only 2L trying to get onto a secondary journal? I had a rough first year (a lot of outside stuff that messed with me real hard) so I buckled down and have my GPA in a good place, worked once a week this year at an internship and now want to add a journal to round out my resume. Mine isn't due until June 10th but I'm quickly losing faith.

If you don't want to do it then don't do it. But if you need to do it and you don't have a choice then I think you should do it with your best and effort even if you don't want to do it. About what motivation you should to so you will able to do it, simple for me, calm yourself then think something that will make you more motivate! put some reward if you finish it or if you able to do it. I think that way you will be able to do it. And don't forget to relax so you will not feel the pressure. :)

10 more cases...I haven't even begun writing and I feel like I'm at the screw this point. lol. Luckily, there are no citations required other than a short cite that we were provided and our foot note edits were already due. One 6-10 page 12 point courier new double spaced paper...I keep telling myself that I'm so close to being finished with 1L year. I will then, subsequently, throw self a pizza party. Potentially, literally...and by party, I mean, I will order a slice of pizza and feel like I'm at a party.

lucky that you've already written it. I just finished my introduction and it feels like I've done so much. Due friday as well.

To do small caps, hit: Ctrl + Shift + K. It is a godsend once you are on Law Review/Journal because several things need to be in small caps.

+1.

And for those who need some motivation: one of the clerks in my chamber said that write-on might not seem worthwhile right now, but "it" would be very helpful in the future (though not sure if "it" is the write-on itself or being on a journal).
