How much do you study the day before an exam?

Post by NYC2014 » Mon Apr 30, 2012 12:02 am

I relax most of the day before my exam - gotta be fresh, gotta go downstairs. Do you do the same?

Depends on when the exam is. If in afternoon, I'll usually study until bed the night before, then sleepin and not look at it against until the test. If it's in the morning, I'll stop studying in the early afternoon, get a good night sleep, and wake up ready to rock and roll.

The bowl would definitely give you the munchies for cereal. Wouldn't be my first choice of food post-bowl, though.

I study hardcore all day and then, around 10pm, I stop. I try to get some sleep, maybe watch netflix or something. However, since tomorrow I have my first evening exam, I'll be studying and running practice exams up until the minute I walk into the exam.

My pre-exam routine begins with one read through of my outline, followed by outlining two practice exams. It ends everytime with an hour jacuzzi/outline reading with a beer and 90 minute massage. Exam week is the best week of the semester. 4-5 massages.

Tend to wake up around noon and study until about 6. Do a practice test or something, lots of Calis and/or looking over little questions and lots of outlines and the like.

If I still have other exams left, I study for those other exams. There's really not much you can do that will help the day before. You know what you know. Other than visually modifying an outline, printing it and tabbing it, I don't do anything for an exam the day before.

If it's the day before my last exam, I'm watching TV all day or murdering children on Call of Duty and laughing at them because I don't have allowance and if I want to I can drive to the store and buy ice cream AND EAT ICE CREAM ALL DAY WHILE I PLAY COD.

OP makes the erroneous conclusion that I study during any day before an exam.

I do most of my studying the day before and morning of my exams.

I make my outline slowly towards the end of the semester, and then spend 24 hours leading up to the exam doing insane cramming, so that when I walk into the exam, it is fresh.

I usually take a practice exam at like 7am for a 930am exam.

I have a 10 page paper to write tomorrow, then on Thursday will look at a subject for the first time after attending 3 classes all semester. Probably most of the day, test is Friday morning

Why of course. Once you learn that, the exam becomes quite irrelevant.

study for about 36 hours straight. Total number of hours studied throughout semester... probably about 50 including actually reading well... anything. This is not a snappy TLS joke, this is reality.

I'm pulling an all-nighter to learn tax right now! 10 hours until I have to head to campus.

Cramming for the win. The stuff I do right before I walk in sticks with me the best.

Yep, same. On my best exams, it's the stuff I studied an hour or two before that pop up.

Planning to get 4-5 hours of sleep, cram in last minute concepts I'm not completely clear on for my last 2.

I'm about to do this, in that I looked at the subject for the first time today, but I did attend the classes and get a past A-'s outline. Exam is tommorrow at 9am, whatever.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
