NYU Clinics and Grades

Post by lionelhutz123 » Wed Mar 28, 2012 1:13 am

Quick question from someone considering doing a clinic next year. How rigorous is the grading in most of the clinics? Is it generally the case that since you've managed to make it into the clinic you deserve a good grade provided you put in the requisite amount of work or is it nearly as competitive as a normal class?

Depends on the clinic, but in general you are graded on effort put in, not on output. If you put a good number of hours and contribute lots, you will do better than if you slack and turn in the bare minimum of work product, even if it is brilliant.
