What is the deal with WUSTL?

Is it true that their dean is actually calling 1Ls asking for money due to their humongous decline?

The xoxo post was true I guess, but it was more of a 'class gift' campaign that is for 1-3L's. Something like a 30% participation rate in it seemed about right.
