When a quote within a quote comes at the end of the sentence, is there a space between the inner quotation mark and the outer?

The "boy went to the 'shopping mall.' "

or

The "boy went to the 'shopping mall.'"

I'm 90% sure no space. I had the same issue with my paper and I found an example showing it somewhere in the bluebook, but I can't find it now.

Interesting. I can't find anything on it in the Blue Book quotations section.
