FRCP & Forms tell you exactly what you need to do.SKlei wrote:does anyone have a good outline or instruction on how to draft a complain? I have to draft one for civ pro.

Twombly/Iqbal, too, perhaps.Extension_Cord wrote:FRCP & Forms tell you exactly what you need to do.SKlei wrote:does anyone have a good outline or instruction on how to draft a complain? I have to draft one for civ pro.
ETA: the instructions on how to draft a complaint are in the FRCP, as Extension_Cord said. Just follow Rules 8, 9, 10, and 11, and be plausible and non-conclusory (Twombly/Iqbal), and look at form 7 (I think. maybe it is 11. or 9. I can't remember) for an example of what the bare minimum for a negligence complaint should look like. It really isn't hard at all if you are just doing a complaint for civ pro. Just do an simple tort complaint.
