Help me calculate my class rank please
I've tried to figure it out to no avail. If you know how to get a rough estimate, here are my data points:
My GPA: 4.044
# of Students: 339
Average: 2.918
Top 2%: 4.000
Top 5 %: 3.867
Top 10 %: 3.625
Top 15 %: 3.533
Top 20%: 3.445
Top 25%: 3.378
Top 33.3%: 3.267
Top 50%: 2.959

Why? You're clearly in the top 2%, and it's not like you can tell employers anything more definite re: your rank/percentile, unless you're given the correct information by the school.

Using the Monte Carlo method, your class rank is approximately 40/339 with 99% accuracy.

Oh, I know. I just saw people that had magical statistics skills in a thread a while back, so I thought I'd ask out of curiousity.

You're obviously within the top 5 or 6 students. But anyway:Mce252 wrote:a rough estimate

That's not a normal distribution. Somewhere in the top 8.
