Another Crim Law Supplement Thread... Sorry! :-) Forum

So, I read like every thread here about supplements (including all those guides by successful students), but I'm at lost regarding which crim law supplement to get. I already have Dressler, but my professor recommended seven others! Does anyone here have any strong opinions about any of the following?


1. Samuel H. Pillsbury, How Criminal Law Works: A Conceptual and Practical Guide (Carolina Academic Press 2009)

2. Laurie Levinson, The Glannon Guide to Criminal Law (2nd ed. Aspen Pub. 2009).

3. Joshua Dressler, Criminal Law, Black Letter Outlines (Thomson West, 1st ed. 2005).

4. Richard G. Singer & John Q. LaFond, Criminal Law: Examples and Explanations (4th ed. Aspen 2007)

5. Markus D. Dubber, Criminal Law: Model Penal Code, Turning Point Series (Foundation Press 2002)

6. Wayne LaFave, Principles of Criminal Law, Concise Hornbook Series, (Thomson/West 2003)

7. American Law Institute, Model Penal Code & Commentaries, Parts I (three volumes) and II (three volumes)

My professor recommended two hornbooks and an E&E. Not happy.
