+1 although I only have one grade. That one grade alone has proven that I'm not as stupid as my LSAT scoreFord Prefect wrote:finally received my grades. Turns out I'm stupid, but not stupid-stupid. I feel pretty darn good about that.
Oh lord this is exactly what I'm hoping for as well. We've still got like 2 weeks though! gahadonai wrote:+1 although I only have one grade. I think all my grades will be out by the end of next week, which will make it that much harder to focus in class and get my reading assignments done. Still haven't even started on my advance assignments yet.Bildungsroman wrote:Oh lord this is exactly what I'm hoping for as well. Yeah, ours are next Friday at 3pm, ten minutes after my last class. I'm booking it home and cracking a beer, THEN looking.bostonlawchick wrote: Hopefully they'll post them on a Friday afternoon so I can spend the weekend drinking.
Congratulations !crossarmant wrote:First substantive class grade in! Torts: A! No A+'s were given, only 5 A's out of 70 people... so I have a good feeling about the rest considering I felt the worst about that exam!
Some schools have built-in merit award for the top X number of students in class. So check there first. That information is usually available on the FinAid website.brose wrote:Does anyone know the process for asking for more money due to 1L performance? Do you have to threaten to transfer or what?
Congrats. That's great to hear.Redzo wrote:Finally, all my grades are out. I was getting concerned when the first one I got was a B, but it only got better from there. In all, I got a B, a B+, and two A's. I could have done better but I should be happy. It looks like my GPA should place me just barely inside the top 10% at this point.

Very, very few schools will entertain such requests, and literally none of the top tier or two do. Proceed with caution; it won't win you any friends in the administration.brose wrote:Does anyone know the process for asking for more money due to 1L performance? You sound like one speaking from experience. What happened?thesealocust wrote:Very, very few schools will entertain such requests, and literally none of the top tier or two do. Only vicarious experience. I've been on TLS for 4 fall semesters now, and every fall semester it comes up and a few people give it the 'ol Christian try. Some schools bribe people not to leave, but they tend to be third/fourth tier schools where only the top students have a shot at decent employment to begin with.0LNewbie wrote:You sound like one speaking from experience. How do you even have it in you to read these stupid repetitive threads for 4 years?thesealocust wrote:Only vicarious experience.
