I'm one of those lucky Section B people just waiting for LRW. Do any of you Vandy kids know what the median GPA is (I don't completely trust Wikipedia on this question). I'm sitting around a 3.52 but don't know exactly what that means for my future employment chances.

Based on my research on this forum, it seems the median is a tad lower than what is listed on Wikipedia. The median is much closer to 3.15 for 1L. So I am guessing you are, at least, in the top 30% of your class so far. Good job!

more like top 20% i would estimate, maybe even top 15%, if the median is at 3.15. but that's just my guess going off a comparable median gpa at my school.

Grats! Property is by far the hardest to get an A in. My prop class was filled with 2L overachieving gunners, so I'm assuming they hogged all the As.

Well, they are part time students. Still, they have a year of classes/test taking experience under their belt, plus they were all crazy smart. Pretty unfair IMO, but what can ya do. Might as well throw in the board of LR to even it out!

Also, one of our professors decided to send out the break down of grades awarded and I calculated the average to be around a 3.2 for the class...

We don't technically know ours yet. The 3.17 is old, 3.19 is most recent. And the 3.2 from your class doesn't matter since the median is derived from all 1Ls. It'll be somewhere between 3.16-3.21.

Just use what's on the Fordham page for rank calculation purposes, it may fluctuate slightly once they calculate the new cut-offs.

That link, but you're looking in the wrong column. Look at class of 2013/14. 2012 is for upperclassmen, most of their classes aren't curved so the median gpa gets inflated.
