Just trying to not fail miserably, personally. Definitely not an insufferable clerkship gunner.IAFG wrote:Helmholtz wrote:2L grades don't matter, guys. No worries.

But does insufferable have to follow from still being a striver as a 2L?

Plan to start my Chapter 11 paper today. Let's see if it actually happens.

Is it bad that I have zero interest in doing a clerkship?Grizz wrote:Just trying to not fail miserably, personally. Definitely not an insufferable clerkship gunner.IAFG wrote:Helmholtz wrote:2L grades don't matter, guys. No worries.

I think I need to switch my home over to this thread from the no motivation thread. fake it till u make it, right?
I mean, I have motivation. a lot of it. I am just too lazy to do anything about it

Re: 2L exam prep thread
Yeah, it's one of those weird things that people are telling me I "should" do, even after I mention that I'm concentrating on corporate and that I can't see it doing me much good. And I really have no interest in taking things like fedjur or admin law, or feeling pressure to build up relationships with profs for the purpose of getting some recs.keg411 wrote:No.Helmholtz wrote: Is it bad that I have zero interest in doing a clerkship?

It's just another lawl school striver cred for a lot of people (though not all of them).Helmholtz wrote:Yeah, it's one of those weird things that people are telling me I "should" do, even after I mention that I'm concentrating on corporate and that I can't see it doing me much good. Re: 2L exam prep thread
If you want to do corporate, I'm pretty sure a clerkship is even less relevant. Just load up on transactional classes. And fuck Fed Courts and Admin. (Seriously, the idea of taking admin makes me want to jab a spork in my eye; I've heard nothing but awful things about that class)Helmholtz wrote:Yeah, it's one of those weird things that people are telling me I "should" do, even after I mention that I'm concentrating on corporate and that I can't see it doing me much good. Also, I realized the topic I wanted to use for my Chapter 11 paper was aimed at the MBA students in the class, so now I have to pick a new topic . Fail.

This feels exactly like 1L. Where keeping up with classes and my note is still getting in the way of outlining. "Easier" my ass.

I think its harder. I miss CL classes where the rule was just laid out in a case for you...statutes are a real pain.

Re: 2L exam prep thread
My God, you're lucky your school doesn't require that one. QUICK, SOMEONE EXPLAIN THE APA TO ME BEFORE MY FINAL. CHEVRON STEP ZERO? AGENCY FINDINGS OF FACT? ARBITRARY AND CAPRICIOUS REVIEW? WTF?Helmholtz wrote:Yeah, it's one of those weird things that people are telling me I "should" do, even after I mention that I'm concentrating on corporate and that I can't see it doing me much good. Four real classes, ugh. Why couldn't I have feigned interest in those basketweaving and the law courses?

100% agree. Statutes + the Supreme Court making things more confusing than they should be = nightmaregoosey wrote:+1dudders wrote:"Easier" my ass.

Re: 2L exam prep thread
In terms of studying, I felt like I wasted 1 or 2 days every week in 1L. Now I feel like I'm wasting every single day as a 2L. I fail miserably every day!
On the bright side, only two exams this fall

Hi I'm an aspie gunner, I guess I'm in the right place!
Looking for practice exams for Fed Income Tax and Business Associations (preferably with model answers). Of course, I'll reciprocate if you're looking for any exam.
