Yeah, this isn't even a study group. It's just me and my friend sitting in a room studying separately. I thought it would be good because we would push each other to stay concentrated and not fuck around, but that's not really how it worked out.

How many practice tests per each class does everyone plan on doing? How many is enough?

I might do around 4 for Contracts, only because the professor is really nice about doing quick exam writing reviews. For other classes, maybe 1 or 2.

Finished my crim outline! That's 3 classes done. I still haven't done immigration, but that's a take home test and it's the last one and I have 2 days to prepare for that beforehand, so I'm just going to completely ignore it and hope it's ok.

You know, we went over it for days and days and everyone (professor included) has made a big deal out of it acting like it's the most complex and difficult concept ever. I've found it actually pretty easy to understand. I'll take Rule Against Perpetuities problems any day over any sort of Supplemental Jurisdiction problems.lifestooquick wrote:I hate the Rule Against Perpetuities.

Tangential non-exam bluebook question:
Anybody know if you can use "Id." by itself or do you always have to use "Id. at 427."? The bluepages say that it's okay to use it by itself but that's for non-journal stuff. I couldn't find anywhere in the reg bluebook that says it's okay to use by itself.

I go by ALWD. I've definitely used Id. by itself before.bk187 wrote:Tangential non-exam bluebook question:

Edit: never mind. That was for non-journal stuff.

It's fine. I think the Bluebook has some rule that you can only use "Id" three times in a row before you have to re-cite the original source.bk187 wrote:Tangential non-exam bluebook question:

On a somewhat-related note, I continue not to understand why anyone gives a single fuck about the Bluebook.

Re: 1L Exam Prep and Motivation Thread
"Id." alone is appropriate when the citation you are using it with is exactly the same as the preceding citation, meaning both case and page number. "Id. at 427" is used when the citation you are using it with uses the same case but a different page number as the immediately preceding citation.bk187 wrote:Tangential non-exam bluebook question:
