Open Memo

Post by always206 » Sun Oct 23, 2011 11:33 pm

I have spent almost 8 hours today on our final memo for the year. The memo is our first "open" memo where we have to do our own research. I feel like I am going to flunk this thing, great.

I spent 16 hours on the writing and editing process of my open memo only to have my professor finally respond to an email I sent asking for clarification on a seemingly small issue.
Her response?
You should write about it in ____ and _____ way, ways that I didn't discuss on my memo because her instructions nearly explicitly said not to do so.
So now I've gotta spend at least a couple more hours on the damn thing tonight. 20 hours of other study time devoted to my substantive classed, all wasted.

Yep, I must have spent close to 20 hours on this thing as well.

Oh, and its a piece of shit too, so that's great.

I guess it is nice to know I am not the only person. We are on "fall break" today and tomorrow. However, I am not sure how working on this memo has been much of a break.
