Best Property Supplement?

Post by nborders » Sat Oct 22, 2011 4:06 pm

I've done my homework on this site, and bought what many said were the best supplements:

Civ Pro: E&E
Torts: E&E
Contracts: Chirelstein

But i'm unsure of which to pick up for Property. Any help would be much appreciated.

I've heard good things about Gilbert's property outline.

Use what your prof suggests.

FWIW, I liked the Stoebuck & Whitman "Law of Property" hornbook.

I have it and it's pretty good if you are looking for a BLL outline. It's really extensive though, so be careful.

If you like your supplements to be more of a narrative, I've actually found the Cribbet hornbook to be really good.

Gilbert's was probably one of the best supplements I used all of 1L. I highly recommend Gilbert's, especially if you have the Dukeminier, Krier, Alexander, Schill casebook.

Definitely GIlberts for Property!

E&E is not that useful for Property or Contracts, but they are very good for Torts and Civ Pro in my opinion.

Understanding Property was my favorite.

Gonna depend on your prof. I've actually gotten some good mileage out of my Property E&E, which above posters apparently have found not-so-useful. Similarly, lots of posters rant and rave about the CivPro E&E, while I find it next to useless for my prof. Maybe ask some upperclassmen.

I agree with this.

I'm using it to teach myself future interests. I also scanned the other sections and it looks good. I'll be using it to solidify my understanding of covenants.

In my opinion, avoid the property e and e. It sucks ass. Its confusing.

Good lick.

I thought it was good too. He does simplify future interests a bit though... my case book actually had a more complete summary of future interests and RAP.

The Understanding series was just ok or me. The Glannon Guide to Property was absolute gold for my exam.
