Was in a silent classroom, and everyone is staring at me because I'm doing that halfway in between thing where you are laughing hysterically but trying to keep it quiet. That is just too funny.

Hurdles races make excellent vids. Do not watch this in a crowded silent classroom.

All is lost for income tax. I think I'm going to take in a thermos of mimosas to take the edge of the beating. 1250 makes me want to throw a chair out the library window.

Actually not a bad idea. Perhaps I'll have a bloody mary tomorrow morning to steady the hand?

My fed tax was brutal, although open anything. Had the E&E and Chirelstein out in front of me to hopefully get median, thought not likely. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure I didn't get class low. There was a 3L in front of me, and he had no clue what was going on. For starters, he left his laptop at home and was handwriting the exam. He was also sitting right in front of me, and his lack of doing anything was distracting. I looked up during the exam a few times (4 hours) and this guy was staring out the window every time. Then he goes to the bathroom or a walk or something for 30 minutes. My roommate was also in my row, and claims the guy left the room twice for twenty minutes. The guy was either 3L with offer in hand or just said fuck this.

Although, I shouldn't be laughing as I am going to be just like that guy in my closed book admin law final. I have no job lined up, have no clue what went on in any of my classes, and still can't get motivated to do anything. I can't imagine what it's like for you guys with SA's lined up. Granted, it's not like any of my options change. Shit law, doc review or dropping out will still be available when I get my grades sometime in January.

I guess this might quasi-out me, but our prof emailed us today post-exam and basically said to not feel so bad about the exam because even the best grade in the class was below a failing grade on a normal scale pre-curve. lol.

I'm in your Admin class. I too am rat fucked.
Has anyone put a disclaimer on the top of their test? Something like "If you want to skip reading this, I'll take a grade that's 2-3 points below median. If you do decide to read this, I'm sorry."

Read Evidence outline. "I know this."

Watch TV for 30 minutes. "... Or do I?!"

Runs back to outline. Reads it 5 times over. "... Yes, I do know this."

Repeat.

This has been like the lamest version of Groundhog Day ever. :|

I'm actually afraid for my Admin grade. It was a massive issue spotter that was easily 5 hours of work in and of itself, combined with an essay about themes of the course.

I maybe finished 75% of the issue spotter...maybe. For the essay, I had nothing to write about so I just wrote some utter bullshit in an indignant tone. I feel worse about this than I did about first-semester 1L Property, and that was a B-.

If I get a C+, will an A in another course cancel that out to a B?

Also, fuck taking substantive classes. I can spin an A in "Social Media Law" to a potential employer much easier than I can spin a B- in real classes.

The professor for one of the seminars I took this quarter made it pretty clear that we can push back our paper's deadline (which is currently set at Dec 30) into as far in the future as we want. As somebody who is constantly procrastinating, this is not good news. Looks like winter break is going to be a back-and-forth between working on my comment and writing the seminar paper. 1L may have been emotionally tolling, but at least I had winter break to myself to just lay around and do nothing.....

That would be epic. I fell asleep reading the Nutshell in the library, like some rookie ass LLM.

I'm picking two topics of the semester- Scope of Review - and TBD. If the test calls for something else, fuck it, move on to the next question.

Professors think they're being nice when they give you extensions... but no.

I may try to take it Thursday so I can hit the bars with a couple guys leaving Friday morning. Yeah, I'm planning my finals around my drinking schedule. I'll let you know though.
