You should be asking yourself what is the best thing to do to compensate for having missed a class. Go get notes from someone else, look at what was covered on during the class by referring to the syllabus, and work twice as hard to get back to where you should be if you hadn't missed the class.

As for the argument about being sick and missing class, that's different from asking if missing class is okay. The latter will provide you with a sense of complacency and you could end up missing class when you probably could have gone.

If I'm sick, I'll still go to class. If I'm contagious, I'll still go. You know why? Because I can. I'm paying 40K a year for like 20 hours of classroom time a week. I'm not doing the math but that must mean I'm paying a pretty penny for each hour of each class.

In the working world, especially in the legal profession, you'll be working when you're sick, unless of course you don't mind underachieving. Consider law school classes as training.

You sound like a colossal pain in the balls.

In the working world, every boss I've ever had would have been pissed as fuck if I came in contagious.

Im not saying class is worthless, but if youre sick and missing for a legitimate reason, you likely didnt miss all that much, and this early in the semester its prolly not gunna make or break your year.

Oh yeah, cause the first thing I do when I come to work is go right up to my boss, and report to him that I have the Bubonic Plague, and that it is contagious, and that I risk infecting everyone who works here, and that it's a public health disaster. And then my boss will be pissed I came to work, and will lecture me for the next half hour.

great argument!

No, because that concerns me. I was referring to myself with regard to being in class, and that has no effect on anybody, Stanford Law School guy.

....Are you fucking srs lol. You really lack empathy to the point where you'd go to work while contagious and just expose your co-workers to whatever nasty shit you have instead of taking the damn day off? I bet you refuse to wear condoms too.

My thoughts about you have no effect on anyone. They certainly shouldn't have an effect on you.
