Where to find cited Law Review/Journal notes

Post by corporatelaw87 » Thu Jul 14, 2011 12:19 am

Is there anyplace place or site that provides a list of students law review/journal notes that have been cited by state or federal judges in opinions? Also is there a place to find a list of opinion citations by journal (not just the number of how many, but an actual list). Thank you.

Well, I am more interested in seeing where student notes have been cited, not articles written by professors. It's much much harder for a student note to get cited in an opinion than for a journal article. So, I just wanted a list of notes that were cited in opinions.

Interesting question. I have no idea, and would speculate that no one else does either.

I'm sure if we found a student who was quoted, we'd make fun of her anyway. Probably a gunner and a douche.

Volokh does a breakdown by academic works, cases, and briefs for a few of the more cited student notes in Academic Legal Writing. Not sure how he counted that research though.

I doubt this exists, because it would require someone actually doing the leg work research. That's not an automated process. That's having and RA do it, and it would take FORE EV ERRRRR. And really, who gives a shit?

Sounds like you've got a nice project on your hands! Post the link here when you're done!
