OP
SELL
The PS3 has a problem called the "Green Ring of Death".
No one plays it when an Xbox is on.

Are you really poor-bragging using something as first-world-problems as "I even had to sell my PS3"?shepdawg wrote:I sold mine (and every other thing of value) just so I could float through law school. My daddy isn't rich like most law students though.

Keep it for Netflix on in the background while you're reading. I've had very little time for games, except 1L summer. This summer? Turned it on twice for games, every night for Netflix.

Take it to school. Set a MAX limit for time played per day or week (like 5 hrs/week). Or get netflix (if that is on the ps3?) and purchase a cheaper TV package.

Re: Sell my PS3?
don't do it!
if you have to - wake up in the AM ~30 minutes before normal and get in a few rounds of COD or whatever floats your boat. I actually do this before work if something big and stressful comes up, and it puts me in a better mood to start off my day.
I've been a gamer since age 5... and a card carrying nerd ever since. if given the choice, I'd game before I spent my precious free time lurking on facebook or watching anything on television/netflix. there is no way that I'd part with my PS3. I guess your level of gamer devotion pre-law school should dictate how you approach it during law school.

When do you eat or socialize?I start my days at 7am and do nothing except study until 7pm. From 7-8 I workout and shower. 8-10:30 I game.
Anyway, first semester I spent all my free time sleeping. That ended up being a bad idea because you don't experience any downtime since you're unconscious for all of it. I almost went nuts. I would recommend having a distraction for your downtime (reading for fun, playing PS3, "liking" things on facebook, actually getting out there and making friends) so you actually experience it.
