haha, I was kidding around, bra. Although I do make the opposite assumption when I see no status, that they are single. Perhaps they are dating around, but not in a committed relationship.

I don't think it's "shallow" at all, but I've never heard the topic come up when talking about LS guys. In fact, during 1L, people didn't talk tons about employment prospects at all.
