In need of a law trained reader....

Post by stuckinparadise » Fri Jun 10, 2011 3:42 pm

Hey guys/gals,

I posted this in the appropriate forums and received some assistance, however, I need another pair of eyes... so I figured I try my luck over here. Side note: I just finished my 1L year, did well, and I want to transfer.

Thus, would anyone be willing to critique my personal statement?

If so, please PM me. Thanks.

You don't want a "law trained reader." Personal statements that read like a legal brief or memo are unlikely to stand out in the crowd. You need a persuasive essay with some creative (but not too much) flair. I can't help you with your statement, but I strongly advise you against making your personal statement sound like a legal paper.
