Top Law Schools

So in a few weeks, the write-on competition for law review begins and I'm having a little anxiety about it since I'm an evening student and work full time. I'm not saying I'm a lock, but my grades are good and I think I have a legitimate shot. However, I'm concerned about the time commitment and don't want to bite off more than I can chew.

Are there any part-timers out there who can fill me in on how they balanced work/class/life and law review?

I did law review as an evening student. If you are just a regular staff member, at least at my school, the work load is not unbearable. I think we had to cite check between 3-4 articles over the semester and write our note. Generally it is doable, you may get some Executive Articles Editor in your shit because you missed a comma or printed the font wrong here and there. Just remember, it is pass-fail and it takes a lot to fail. Personally, I only did law review to put it on my resume and to get access to the outline bank.

Law Reviews are structured differently, so definitely try to track down students at your school who have done this to get something more tailored to your situation, but yes, it's doable. A few of us are working full-time, doing Law Review, and doing Moot Court. There is a chance it could be hell, but it's worth it. For the first few weeks, I wondered WTF I had signed up for, but I have seriously enjoyed my time on Law Review. It's worth the sacrifice.
