Is second semester of 1L year more competitive than first? Forum

So far, a lot more drinking this semester for most people. I can't tell if they are studying smarter. I assume they are.

My class schedule is also less conducive to getting better grades. One class is a take-home paper as the final. With my shitty writing skills, this will probably mean I'll end up at median. I'm also going to end up at median in my legal writing class. Hopefully I can pull A's in my two issue spotting classes. If it all goes down like that, I can hold onto my top 10%. But barely.

i don't know people who show up drunk, but i know people who have shown up high. that sounds like the worst thing ever to me.

Last semester my classes were all perfectly timed. Now my schedule is like swiss cheese.

It makes me significantly less efficient because I can't concentrate on something for 3-4 hours like i did last semester (especially with practice tests.)
