Never ever take tax, sec reg, commercial transactions. Fun at first sight, but holy shit they will rip you a new one if you haven't studied enough (at least much more than 1L classes, where half the time it's BS anyway).

I liked it too, but the exam was harddd as shit for my class. (Honestly one of the hardest exams I've had in law school -- part of that probably relates to my unpreparedness -- but still, it was fucking hard.) Considering I'm not going into tax, I probs shouldn't have taken it.

At least now I get a brief respite from chastising myself for not working hard enough this semester.
Wow. When was the test?

For people who don't know the UChicago grade system, 177 is the median/B; 180+ is an A (185s are very very rare, 186s are basically never awarded, 182 is often enough to have a model answer - only .4% of the graduating class in any year graduates with a 182 average).

Federal Jurisdiction: 179
Corporation M&A: 180-181
Corporate Practicum: [redacted]

I read maybe 15% of the stuff for Fed Jur and M&A, and I studied about 3 hours for each exam.
So, in other worse...you did not work, read 15% of the stuff, studied for the amount of time you probably have class per week, and think you'll get an A- and an A. Cool story bro.

Legal Writing and Research III (yes, I have to take it three times): A --> actually got this (grade posted two days ago)
Wills and Trusts: A/A-?
Evidence: B- (at best)?
Family:B?

As long as my GPA doesn't drop, I am happy!

Wow ... that was quick! Unfortunately, at NU professors are not allowed to release grades in advance ... we won't find out until January 15 or so.

Just checked online for my grades, at 5AM Eastern Time on Christmas Eve. When the office is closed. Nuttin. Just really glad we have the retroactive/pass fail system here...

Indeed. For PriyaRai, this was an interesting thread to make your debut. Did you not have any friends or family to rush to first to share such breaking news?

1st Amendment: B+ (Got this back; I wasn't too shocked here)

Negotiation/counseling: C+ (Got this back; entirely shocked given the fact she told us she would give everyone an A. Oh well, I always tend to have one class keep me out of the top 10 :P )

Classes I am waiting on

Environmental Law: B+

Evidence: B+

Professional Responsibility: A (I had about a week to study for this class alone during the reading period)

Any Michigan-ers out there want to let me know around what time grades start rolling in so I can save myself the hassle and anxiety of checking everyday (transfer here)

I have a feeling that Public Corp will be my retroact . . . oh wait, it's AP and a strict 1L curve despite fewer than 40 students and no option to P/F.

I'm proper fucked.
