Edit-edit: Whoa. Found out I booked a class!
Sweet. :)

Ugh, must be nice. I'm losing sleep over last semester, dreading the day I get no-offered.
This. Also, congrats SBL!

I know its horrible. I've had to work double time because when I apply i have to articulate (rather extensively) that my grades are not just average lol

Yeah, so just checked my grades for the first time in a while. Got my highest law school grade ever in a final I thought I messed up and other people were saying was easy. Maybe it's because I'm still not "getting it," but it definitely seems like grades are random.

This is relatively standard actually. If they thought it was easy chances are they missed a ton of issues.

Here's my take:

If I think I did well, I did average.
The worse I feel about my grade, the farther away from average I get, although I can never predict which direction.

I think I'm kinda rare. I usually predict my grades exactly, and the furthest deviation I've had is a half grade.

Most people I know have no idea what they got.

Just learned what happened in Tax.

Home run on multiple choice.
Strikeout looking on policy essays.

A tale of two tests!

Nice threadbump.

I have 5 finals (all in-class) over the next two weeks. I often wonder why I continue to haze myself with school. Then again, fast-forward 3 years from now and substitute "2k minimum billables" for "school." ::fart noise::

3 finals (5 classes total - other 2 are papers). 2 of the finals are for the hardest classes I have ever had in law school (yes, much harder than tax 1, which I took last semester and actually enjoyed). I don't even remotely enjoy these 2. I have also been slacking, and now all I can say is "fuck." Next semester, I am aiming to only taking one "real" class.

Reading period is my favorite time of the semester. I can finally see the end!

I can't believe in two weeks I will be a 3L

I hate how my brain works. It continues to work on exams even after I'm done taking them.

Yesterday morning, I sat straight up in bed and went, "@$!&, I completely forgot to address that discovery issue on crim pro yesterday."

So now I'm going to be agonizing over that until I get my grade back, which is ridiculous, because the exam had approximately 92080918 issues to address, and missing ONE does not automatically mean I should /killself. Gah.

Post-exam anxiety flashes are my favorite. I had a secured transactions panic attack yesterday, almost 48-hours after my final. FML.

I'm going to get absolutely rocked by the curve in one of my classes this semester. It's gotta be 90% law review/secondary journal people.

Law school, like life, is unfair.

Heh... okay that reads weird, but the point was that the class is comprised of smarter/more motivated students than your average 1L class. Or at least it feels that way.

Pretty sure I just booted a final. Here's to hoping other grades make up for it!

(But if not, whatever. Not like it'll make a practical difference unless everything is either horrible or awesome.)

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
