Grades were due Monday. All of my others were reported on time, with some well before the deadline. It's now mid-morning Wednesday. I saw you gaily walking to lunch with a colleague yesterday.

A solid rule of thumb is that if it was just hard as fuck, you can't tell. But if you feel like it wasn't hard, and you just were doing poorly, or missed an issue, you did probably fuck it up.

I knew when I fucked up Contracts and IP.

My success in a course had a direct correlation to how much I liked it. Yipppee! course= win. Hate this course= major fail.

Not the case for me. The more a class makes me want to die, the more likely I am to do well.

Mostly stunned by Con law, I thought i dominated that exam. K's was a crapshoot, but who knows.

Went from Top 8% to top 19% at my T2. UGHUGHUGH.

However, I know things could have gone much worse, and this will just make me hustle hustle hustle at any OCI bite or at networking my ass off.

My frustration with the grade waiting game is reaching its boiling point. The word is that a couple of my profs just went on vacation without turning in grades. It has been 6 weeks since finals and we still have zero of our core grades. Our LP professor finally got our open brief back to us after like 7-8 weeks of waiting. What makes it so hard for a professor with nothing else to do to grade 1-2 essays a day over a 6 week span? How is that even acceptable?

Like, hey... I know you worked oh-so-hard for the last 8-9 months teaching one or two classes and supervising some 2L RA that helped you do research for some law review article, so why don't you go ahead and just take a few weeks of vacation before you do those grades and then get 2-3 months off for more vacation? You've really earned it.

I'm the very last person in to the top 10% club. Hoping my school's "approximately top 10% grade on to law review" policy doesn't screw me.

All Grades in. First semester GPA: 3.22. Second Semester GPA: 3.86. Overall: 3.48. Not quite top 25% but that was an unrealistic goal after below-median first semester. Definitely will be competitive for hometown market which was my goal all along. Now waiting for write-on results.
