I'm actually less anxious after getting my first two. Maybe it's because I know they're not coming for at least another week, so I can relax until then.

Re: 1L grade waiting thread
It is probably better when you actually know, or have a rough idea of, when they are coming. I'm just waiting on Property, and we have four sections taught by our professor, 2 sections at one time and 2 sections at another time. We all took the test at the same time, though, and the other 2 sections had their exams back on December 18th, 10 days after we took the exam. No idea why it is taking so long for the other 2 sections to get our exams back. Needless to say, they could pop up at any minute, so I pretty much just check on my phone every hour. It's a disease.keg411 wrote:I'm actually less anxious after getting my first two. Maybe it's because I know they're not coming for at least another week, so I can relax until then.

Depends on the school and their curve.toppercentile wrote:B!!! Is it possible to still make top 10%? 5%?? (No other grades posted yet.)
I'm waiting on my last grade. We have a C+ curve. If I get an A in K's Ill be roughly .07 from top 5%, a B+ puts might right inside the top 10% and a B puts me in the top 15%. Thats with a stupid C+ in LRW.

I just think that the impropriety of such behavior increases as the rank of offender's school decreases. Apologies if I offended you though.beach_terror wrote:dresden doll wrote:I guess it got their hopes up for shitlaw?missinglink wrote: Neighboring T2 in the city.

Hope you did pretty well on Property. I'm at the "not-stellar, but still not bad by any means" mark. Still wish I didn't find out about it (through facbeook nonetheless) because now I'm having the compulsion to refresh the transcript page every five minutes, so essentially my break is ruined.romothesavior wrote: I was actually holding it together pretty well until I got my property exam grade yesterday. It also turned out that Section F can pick up their Open Memos today at least, but who knows when the actual grade for the course is going to come in.

I didn't really mean much by saying it was a neighboring T2. I was being more descriptive than pejorative.dresden doll wrote:I just think that the impropriety of such behavior increases as the rank of offender's school decreases. I don't think you were pejorative at all. Congrats on your grades.missinglink wrote: I didn't really mean much by saying it was a neighboring T2. I was being more descriptive than pejorative.

You might be on to something there. I'm at a tier 2, and if I get above median I'll be so happy I'm gonna send a video of myself moonwalking to ATL.dresden doll wrote:I just think that the impropriety of such behavior increases as the rank of offender's school decreases. Section E just got their open memo grades back. Pretty much what I expected.

I could have predicted as much.nyyankees wrote: that being said, who didnt see this coming from our property and legal writing professors?
But I really thought P. Smitty would have handed them in. I know she's new, but she was always really on the ball and focused...plus she only has 50 exams to grade.

Re: 1L grade waiting thread
do not speak ill of professor smith! i will not have it! haha
i think she also probably has to have some conversations about understanding how the curve here and finding out who to talk to at the registrar, there may be more than meets the eye here.
also, her whole thing was that she wanted you to demonstrate that you understood the concepts which means she has to kind of read into things a little more than people who say i will give you points for correctly naming an issue and if you speak about it but do not mention it by name then you get no/less points

As is Columbia, I have not heard a peep. LPW was 2 months ago, CivPro was a month ago and Ks was three weeks ago (small section only 30 students), Torts was our last exam and my professor had 250+ students so I am not expecting that one until May.Eco wrote:Damn GW is taking ages to release grades.

I won't get a B- in CLR, but my C in civpro (and probably Ks) will make up for it.Desert Fox wrote:I might be able to pull straight B-.

Re: 1L grade waiting thread
we had a professor write us yesterday to tell us that she submitted our grades, but that they won't necessarily show up for a few more days. torture. I was doing sooo well with putting it in the back of my mind until I read that email.

I'm flummoxed that my civ pro prof hasn't yet posted grades from her scantron-only exam. Another section got its multiple choice test results the day after finals ended.
