bjsesq wrote:DF just called me: a C- in con law. At NU. We're gonna go get wasted, but he'll be looking for advice on how to deal with this at OCI. His GPA will take a shot, but he will still have decent grades. PM him ideas or post them here.

You'll be close. Median at my school is 3.1-3.15ish and 3.6 is typically the ballpark for the top 10% cut off.Headybrah wrote:3.6
median is 3.2
hoping I am top 10% by time dust settles...
yeah it will be pretty close, median for us is between 3.2-3.3 and 3.75ish is right around 10%.beach_terror wrote:You'll be close. Median at my school is 3.1-3.15ish and 3.6 is typically the ballpark for the top 10% cut off.Headybrah wrote:3.6

Bobby Dazzler wrote:Could someone please explain how the GPA cutoffs for 1Ls are different than the cutoffs on NALP for the graduating class? For example, let's say top 25% for the graduating class was a 3.6, would the GPA for top 25% for 1Ls be lower since we haven't taken a bunch of seminars and A-B curved classes?
TYIA. Seriously mathematically challenged...

Grades in law school seem all over the place. Some people do consistently kick ass, but most people I knew had grades all over the map. Most people I know had extremely different grades in the same semester, and some people moved hugely between semesters, and in both directions.Holly Golightly wrote:Most of the NU BPers went up, we just all know each other and don't post our grades on here. hahaKilpatrick wrote:Congrats, good to see more tls people going up
