"I don't have a liquor license..."

Postby polycom01 » Sun Nov 21, 2010 11:12 pm

I was outside a bar tonight, and a homeless guy walked up to a guy outside the bar (a law student), and asked if he could have a dollar or two to buy a beer.

The guy said, "Sorry I don't have a liquor license...," to which the homeless guy replied, "Huh?"

The law student proceeds to say, in a completely serious voice, "Sorry, I don't have a liquor license to distribute alcohol...I don't want to impose the liability on myself."

Thought I'd share.

This seems to make sense, as he seems to have absolutely no idea of any type of legal concepts.

That sounds like a pretty funny way to blow off a bum. If they have to stop and think, they'll just move on.

/otherwise they'd have jobs.

+1. Whenever people post stuff like this, I wonder if it ever crosses their mind that maybe they aren't in on the lulz.
