I'm "rewarding" myself by only working on my thesis work instead of thesis work + course work...

Re: so who's taking next week off
After thanksgiving break, I have 1.5 weeks till exams. I can't imagine taking the whole break off.
I'm taking tomorrow off, and maybe 1 more evening over the break. I think I'm gonna skip Monday and Tuesday... and have 9 straight days of intense studying. Too close to the finish line to let up.

eh.
i just feel like i reach critical mass at a certain point and that forcing myself to do more is counterproductive.
if i don't know anything well enough at this point to be able to synthesize it in a few full days, then i'm probably too far behind already.

I hope there are more people like you at my school, that would be awesome.td6624 wrote:eh.

You do realize this is the forum for law school students, right? I don't mean to imply that your UG break strategy isn't important (in fact, we all love your rationalizations), just that the topic takes on new meaning in a law school context.s0ph1e2007 wrote:I'm "rewarding" myself by only working on my thesis work instead of thesis work + course work...

I'm taking "off" Wednesday and Thursday. However, I'm compensating with 12 hour days this weekend and the rest of next.td6624 wrote:i'm rationalizing it by saying i need to recharge or something.

Get off the law student forums. Nobody cares what you're doing or not doing. hths0ph1e2007 wrote:I'm "rewarding" myself by only working on my thesis work instead of thesis work + course work...

Gunning through my outlines and PTs for the upcoming week. I don't have much of a social life anyway, so this is just maintaining the status quo.

I hate you... my school is so overly-social that if I walk 5 feet, there is someone who stops and chats with ya.zeth006 wrote:Gunning through my outlines and PTs for the upcoming week. I don't have much of a social life anyway, so this is just maintaining the status quo.

I can't get any work done at school. People are constantly talking to me, and I'm not social at all.savagedm wrote:I hate you... my school is so overly-social that if I walk 5 feet, there is someone who stops and chats with ya.zeth006 wrote:Gunning through my outlines and PTs for the upcoming week. I don't know about the whole week, but probably Thursday-Saturday/Sunday afternoon. Outlines are already done, I've been through the E&Es twice, and the hypos are close to running together. The break + family + actual food will be a nice refresher for the final push.

Yeah, people here are also really friendly. But if you've got the social graces of a wall like I do, it really isn't that hard to make it to the library within 5-8 minutes.savagedm wrote:I hate you... my school is so overly-social that if I walk 5 feet, there is someone who stops and chats with ya.zeth006 wrote:Gunning through my outlines and PTs for the upcoming week. Re: so who's taking next week off
My finals are spread out over 3 weeks (lucky me, right?) - so I can take random days off. But, I'm not taking the whole of thanksgiving break off. My outlines aren't done, so I'm aiming to finish them by the day before Thanksgiving. Then take that night off, thanksgiving day off, and half of friday (for shopping, duh). Then work a lot. Take the day off after my first final. Day off after 2nd final, random day off before 3rd. After 3rd... well, you know...
