LOL
I can't believe people waste their time making outlines. Just get one from an upperclassman who took the course and take practice exams. Everything else (hornbooks, commercial outlines, etc.) are unnecessary.

i'll be the first to admit i spend more time outlining than most people, and probably unnecessarily. but shit, it worked last semester so no reason to switch up the formula.
update: got through everything in joinder except interpleader and intervention. i think of all the things the e&e covers, it clarifies joinder the best.

yeah, I feel the same way. Just found out I didn't make the second round of oral arguments for moot court society, and while I don't really like litigation...I'm still bummed. And really tired. Oh, my classes are crazy this semester. I might die. The only good news I have is that I do have summer employment, and it's paid. I need something to lift my spirits. I feel like a failure.

As a 1L, that should be enough to make you not feel like a failure

Haha. Thanks. It's a judge clerkship through a program at my school. The program through which I applied for it is where I'm getting paid, so that's pretty cool. But alas, still bumming about oral arguments. I am just not meant to be a litigator haha.

Litigation is the go to during recessions though

I didn't make moot court either
I am surprised at some of the people that did though. My LRW prof hates my talking/argument style so all the people he nominated are slow talkers with 20 second breaks b/t sentences. sigh...:/ I hope it doesn't hurt at OCI.
Exam question: any one have any good recommendations for K damages overview? I have the E and E 4th ed from last semester but it sounds a bit convoluted.

I don't want litigation, so I'm not even bothering with Moot Court/Mock Trial.

LR or Bust 8)
Dude, yes. For real. I'm already revving up for the summer write-on competition. While I did well last semester grade-wise, there is no way on God's green earth that I'll be top 7% of my class at the end of this semester. The oral arguments gave me so much anxiety though, and I'd be happy to never have to do that again, but I just want to make sure I have something to put on my resume (other than summer employment and volunteering). If all else fails, I'll just try to get on another secondary journal I suppose.

Plenty of people end up in litigation who are on law review, herp derp.

I wanted to go out so bad last night, but nobody was feeling it. Did your crew go out on Fri/Sat? Bastards.

Thank goodness for write-on competitions. For me at least.

I have went out the past two nights and have not done ANYTHING this weekend. Two best friends in town for the weekend, gone tomorrow morning and the real 14 hour days begin. 3/4 outlines are done, the 4th isn't started yet. Really need to do more supplement work. I guarantee my GPA drops at least .25 this semester.

I wish we had grade on

I worked on ConLawl outlining most of the day, so I'm rewarding myself with watching baseball. Definitely feel better after taking the last two nights off.

I've been "doing work" while not actually doing work. I skim my reading to say I've done it, and have "outlined" without actually having anything in order, or explained in a way that would help me on the exam. I need to get my shit together.

I know the feeling man. You just gotta tell yourself that you will do the best you can, and you'll worry about the outcome later. Fuck it.
