I go to a "regional" school. We study law from pretty much every jurisdiction as well. I'm not looking forward to starting to outline for property.

sorry, i don't mean to sound uppity if that's how it came off. just severely hating how i know about the property law of many states i will never set foot in outside of an airport. i mean, sure, in issues of first impression it's going to be nice to know how other states do it so i can craft policy arguments, but i get the feeling that i'm not going to be seeing a lot of those when i hit the real world.

Thankfully, even at my regional school, we don't really learn state-specific property laws. Our professor feels Property I & II should be an overview. There is a specific Texas property class for those interested.

Mine is coming up in a few days and I have put in 0 minutes of prep for it. I am spending nearly 100% of my non in-class time studying these gargantuan outlines and outlines of outlines and checklists that I've made. this LRW thing is getting the backseat in a very serious way

I was exactly the same, and my arguments sucked. When asked the standard for summary judgment, i responded "de novo, your honor" Epic fail.

I don't know how to answer that either. I should probably look that up before tomorrow...

3 outlines pretty much up to date. On to the appellate brief. Goal is to have a draft done by Friday, so I can start editing on Sunday and next week. Way to much work for half of a two-credit class.

She just wanted me to say that there was no genuine issue of material fact, therefore the order should be affirmed. Wasn't looking for standard of review. I think when i corrected myself I argued there was material fact. The whole Writing for Appellant Arguing for Appellee thing really tripped me up.

found it helpful for homicide, that was about it.

The American University database had some good exam questions and answers that were similar to my professor's exams.

Thats the worst E&E out there, I used Dressler's Understanding Crim for mine, but the Emanuel is alright too.

Just starting my property outline, feeling pretty good about it.

Also, on a completely unrelated note, I need a girlfriend.

I bought a Crim Supplement by the authors of my casebook and thought it would suck, but I've found it pretty helpful while outlining (though I just got the Crunchtime in addition). If anyone else has the Podgor book, buy "Mastering Criminal Law".

I don't know how helpful it would be for anyone without my book, mostly because my prof basically teaches from it and has written with her before.

I'm trying to teach myself estates and future interests for class. Even the e&e isn't making it much easier. This makes me wonder if its horribly written, or if I simply don't have the patience to learn all these retarded different terms. I feel like property isn't going to bode well for me.

Property question: Are actual partial and constructive evictions part of the covenant of quiet enjoyment? My gut says yes, but I just want to be sure. They just seem like different severities in the breach of the covenant (actual the most flagrant, constructive next, then just a breach of the covenant which seems to be the least worst kinda sorta)

Try the law in a flash cards and this website: --LinkRemoved-- Both break up the terms pretty well and provide short hypos that let you digest one bit of information at a time.

I feel the same, but it all ends in the same result.
