After talking with some people, it sounds like I got all of the questions right and didn't screw anything up too terribly. I think (hope) that should at least put me above median, but its just a crapshoot from there. I felt great after the exam, but it sounds like most people identified the same basic issues and did the same basic analysis, so it will just come down to how he grades it.

If I don't do well, I'm going to be really mad because I know I got all 5 of the questions right and I had a really good command of property. But if most people got them right, and most people said the same things, but the prof has to distinguish us based on ????? and put us on a curve... well who the hell knows how it will turn out.

Law school grades = very arbitrary

I didn't even go in depth with the the answers, mostly because Mandelker is probably the type of guy to recognize a lot of forks when it comes to property law in general. Plus, given the questions and the word limit, there definitely wasn't a lot of leeway in the answers. Not saying it was ridiculously easy or something, but I'm with you in just hoping that I at least got median.

This. Outlines are mostly for studying purposes, imo. If you're looking through your outline for every question you're going to have some serious time issues.

True, but it depends on the test. I am in Romo's section and I was definitely one of the people with the massive 60 page outlines. But when I finished essentially two out of the five total questions (again, 300 word limit so that prevents rambling) without really looking at the outline (luckily, the questions were directly on-point with the few cases that I actually remember well from the class), I look at the clock and saw that only 30 minutes had passed. At that point, I thought "... eh, this is probably the only exam where I could have time to work at a leisure pace, so I might as well take advantage of it." But if you have some gigantic 6 page hypo or a massive essay question, you definitely don't want to rely on it (just use it as a safety net or a placebo).

I feel amazing after my torts exam. 90 minutes for 43 multiple choice and 1 90 minute essay after we turned in the multiple choice. I predicted the essay question. As in I walked into the exam with an outline of what the essay question was. And even then I only typed 3900 words in 1.5 hours so idk how anyone clears 8,500.

If my outlines are like 15 pages, am I going to fail?

My Property outline was 10.5 pages, and I only used about three of them during the exam. Total time spent looking at my outline was about 1 minute.

It used to be over 20, but the act of condensing it down really helped me memorize stuff and filter out what I needed to know from all the noise. We'll see if it worked, I guess.

If you include all the note cases, we've covered well over 200 in contracts. Some of those were just paragraph excerpts though.

If I come across a fill in the blank question on my contracts exam tomorrow that I just absolutely have no idea what the answer is, I guarantee you I will do something similar.

The crazy part is, my contracts professor is just pyscho enough to probably give me partial credit for it.

Jesus christ I type fast. I knocked out 4100 words on a civ pro back test in about 2.5 hours. Knowing the material cold is going to be a huge advantage.
