Also, IAFG has a great knack for coming up with conversation topics horrifying enough to make outlining seem like a really fun and pleasant idea.

So my Contracts professor has asked essentially the same exact battle of the forms question on the 2007, 2008, and 2009 finals. Just watch this be the semester he decides to change it up.

Eh I'm still writing out a stock answer that covers everything. But I wouldn't put it past him to not do that this year. Especially since his Offer/Acceptance, Consideration, and Breach problems have been really similar since 2002.

My Ks professor sent the class an email a month after the final with some general thoughts on each of the four essay questions he asked and what kinds of trends he saw in answers. Despite the fact that the first essay had been essentially the same (with some minor tweaks year to year) for the past 35 years, he was saddened by how many people still failed to write a decent essay. For schools like ours (public, Tier 2), don't assume that just because it's on previous finals that everyone in the class has a) bothered to look at previous finals or b) actually taken the time work through the question and at least outline an answer.

i may have heard a few things about this and formed a few opinions, which boil down to: the "up" is pretty ridiculously up, and if you manage to keep on track you can get a lot of stuff done. the "down" is absolutely awful, and rather drawn out. as a utilitarian matter, it's not worth it because of how it affects your performance the next day, and because the up is a little uncontrollable. as a moral matter, it's akin to cheating. drink moar coffee.

Seriously, I can't outline without whisky in the library. Maker's Mark and Buffalo Trace got me through the past two weeks, and will probably get me through the next two as well.

Currently working through the rape chapters. I remember it being much more enjoyable in class - possibly because people asked questions such as when rough sex turns into rape or argued that only 1 out of 10 sexual encounters occurs while sober.

Outlining defenses is the worst, I fucking loathe crim outlining.

however, it's actually starting to make sense now

I've been sitting on an otherwise done crim outline for a week and I haven't mustered the oomph to do defenses.
