We had somebody counting callbacks on their facebook. Updated their status everytime they got one.

"1"

"2"

"3"

etc.

What's this rank on the douche-o-meter?

OMG same thing happened to me! 2 professors posted my answer as models for the class. I didn't want to deal with all the questions, so I just used our section listserv to let everyone know that they were my answers in order to preempt their inquiries and I also told them that I could free up some time to tutor them if they want it

Congrats on the props - but don't let it get to your head. It is just a midterm and its your first year. It is a blip. Ranks go up and down like Pamela Anderson running on the beach. Keep doing what you are doing, but don't be surprised at the end of year you are just hanging in there.
