I hate Property. It's the most boring class on the planet. Fuck adverse possession.
(quoted because we share the same professors)

I respectfully disagree. Civil Procedure is the worst. I don't mind property at all.
Property isn't a difficult class, I just hate it. I hate everything about wills and estates in land. It's so boring I want to cry.

I can't must one ounce of give-a-crap for Property.

Civ Pro is a mess, but the E&E makes everything so much easier.

agreed-the conlaw that deal with separation of powers (conlaw I) is so boring. Conlaw II (individual rights) is ok, but that is a 2l subject.

Civpro = Conlaw > Property > Contracts >> Torts > Legal Writing/Research >>>>> Crim

I'm positive I'm in the minority on the "crim sucks" opinion though.

I dunno. Maybe it was because it seemed really straightforward? My summer job was in a criminal context though - and real world crim was waaaaaaay better than law school crim.

I have a feeling my hate for CivPro will be transferred to ConLaw next semester. And thanks Justice Kennedy for really knowing how to write a "clear and concise opinion" analyzing FRCP 19. You just know how to brighten up a girl's Friday night :roll: .

Isn't it ConLaw?

I actually liked my exposure to CivPro. Expertise in CivPro is, in my opinion, what separates the stud lawyers from the duds. Most civil cases are decided during the discovery and Motion in Limine phases, and winning those battle depends on the gamesmanship one has in CivPro.

If a case goes to trial, it's all about evidence, which, again, can be most impacted by Civ pro. Deciding venue, jurisdiction, collateral issues, etc are the foundations of cases. So how can one not be interested in CivPro?

Easy. the very examples you use in support of your conclusion can be construed in opposition to your conclusion.
