Speaking about "the median" guy is marginally more useful than the "average" guy, but even so, comparing the statistical center of different schools as part of a plan to get above median at a particular school seems to resonate with the "who gives a shit?" feeling.
I don't think that I was trying to show how comparing the statistical center of schools might be part of a plan to get above median at a particular school; it was just an off-hand, very unserious remark. This entire thread doesn't really have any particular impact on any of us. IMO, it's probably easier to get an A at Michigan than it is at Columbia, and it's probably easier to get an A at
