medical negligence

Post by karim khalid » Sat Oct 02, 2010 4:04 am

I find this topic really tough. luckily one of my friends lent me a book. mrcp ii made easy. It explains tort, standard of care, insanity defence, liability of medical equipment , manslaughter ( it there is actus rea and mens rea ) like a novel. My family loves it as each case is like a series from House MD

I love this field of law, I've worked in it but not in the States. What is the disciplinary process for misconduct of health professionals? Is it different between States? Over here it's different in different parts of the country, but generally misconduct is dealt with by a health practitioners' tribunal - obviously referred on if the offense is criminal etc.
