Employment Discrimination Hornbook

Post by r973 » Wed Sep 29, 2010 8:20 pm

Can anyone recommend a helpful study guide/hornbook for employment discrimination law? My professor is not very clear and neither is the casebook so I need something to prepare for the final. Should I go with the Example and Explanations? Understanding? Concepts and Insights? Or something else? Emanuels? Gilberts?

My goal is to have something that is thorough, clear, but not too long to read. A black letter law outline would be great too.

Thanks!

Is there one by your casebook author?

Nope, there isn't one by my casebook author. Even if there were, I bet it would be terrible because that casebook is poorly written and organized. But thanks for the reply.

Rutherglen wrote a hornbook as well (Concepts & Insights series).

Yeah, I was wondering how that compared to the default ones, particularly if any stood out as amazing. I do know that there are employment discrimination books by C&I, E&E, lexisnexis, and in a nutshell series. But i think the C&I one may be the only one tied to the rutherglen book
mistergoft wrote:Examples & Explanations was alright, read this hornbook written in 2010 called Employment Law it was pretty helpful.
interesting. I wouldn't have guessed to look into an employment law book when there are a number of Emp disc books out. Good to know about the E&E as well.

I didn't use Rutherglen's casebook, but still used his hornbook and found it rather helpful.
