Just live in New York and become a Democrat! ;)

You and I both know the former isn't a requirement. And sure to the latter.

The desire to graduate at the top of the class. That in itself is enough for me. I am very competitive and it is kind of like a game to me.

Dearest Rocket, you can't be a tour guide if you've never been to the location.

To the OP: never mind any of this. Carry on.

1b - he's also annoying as hell and thinks i'm his best friend or something, whenever i'm home he tries to talk to me about stupid crap, so he's a good motivator to spend all my time on campus/in t he library studying, so I don't have to go home and deal with him

I had a similar experience back in college. Though the roommate was somewhat tidier and closer to my age, he was a complete douchebag. He's also one reason I was always either at the library or hanging out with buddies.

Fear of failure and all that it entails, future money, proving to myself that I am capable of doing it.

I had no IDEA I could study as much as I am now. It's amazing what you can do when you get your sh*t together and just do it.

I also made the hardest decision of my life and didn't get cable, so I study that much more when I'm home.

James from The Apprentice. Or any of the other 3 unemployed attorneys from The Apprentice.
