Working during 1L-- internship opportunity Forum

Hi Guys,

I have the option to work at a local hospital friday nights 5-11 pm interviewing domestic violence victims every other week. Is this a huge time sink or could the exp gained be pretty beneficial?

12 hours a month doesn't seem like a time sink at all

Were you gonna be studying Friday nights anyways? I think not. Agree with above; I'd take it for the money. I'd inquire about quitting near exam times though.

Not sure how beneficial the experience would be though.

If you want to do some kind of direct legal services, the job would be a huge help on your resume. I also don't think you'd have a problem working through exams. It might be nice to have a break from studying for a few hours anyway.
